Messy church, morning praise
Rhyme Time is back! 🎶
Our first Monday Rhyme Time is Monday 7th September from 9.30am. Come along for toys, play, breakfast, crafts and, of course, plenty of singing and rhymes. No need to book – just turn up.
Wednesday Playgroup is back too! 🧸
We’ll be back on Wednesday 9th September from 10.15am for another morning of play, activities, crafts and time together. Again, there’s no need to book and new faces are always welcome.
Community Hub – Monday 7th September, 12pm–3pm ❤️
Our Community Hub will also be returning, offering a variety of free, good-quality baby, children’s and adult essentials. There are no complicated forms or referrals – if something would help you or your family or you know someone who would benefit from this service, please come and see us.
Messy Church – Sunday 20th September at 12.30pm 🎨
If you haven’t tried Messy Church before, September is a great time to give it a go!
It’s a relaxed and informal way for families to explore faith together through crafts, activities, stories and fun – followed by a homemade lunch for everyone.
Please email Phoebe to book your child’s place so I know how many people I’m cooking for!

From Monday 28th September, 1pm–3pm, we’re starting something new at St Stephen’s.
If you’ve ever wondered about God, faith, the meaning of life, why bad things happen, whether there really is more to life – or you simply have questions you’ve never felt comfortable asking – this is for you.
It will be completely relaxed and informal. There’s no expectation that you know anything about Christianity, no question is too big or too small, and nobody is going to put you on the spot.
Basically, come and ask Fr Tristan anything you like about life and faith while Phoebe make lunch!
Bring the little ones with you – the toys will be out and children are very welcome.
If you’re even slightly curious, come and give the first week a try. You might be surprised by how much you enjoy it.
And finally… SAVE THE DATE! 🍂🐾🐴
Sunday 4th October is our annual Harvest Service and Pet Blessing, followed by our very first St Stephen’s Harvest Fair and Animal Experience!
The Harvest Service starts at 11.15am, with the fair beginning at 12.30pm.
It’s going to be a really special day for our church and local community, with lots for children and families to enjoy. And yes – pets are very welcome at the service!
More details will be coming very soon.
Most importantly, St Stephen’s is here for you and your family. Whether you’re looking for somewhere to bring the children, somewhere to meet other parents, some support, a friendly face, or perhaps you’re beginning to explore faith yourself, there is a place for you here.
I really hope we’ll see lots of you over the coming weeks. Please never worry that you haven’t been for a while – the door is always open and you’ll always receive a warm welcome from us all.
